Grensfei
I'm just going to put up some basic information about the harvest village where a good chunk of the story takes place: Grensfei! (I'm such a nerd about this stuff that I hand-drew a map.)
Population: 216
Primary Export: Floridium
Allied with Bofeita and Windsong
The plaza is where activity tends to gravitate; it has a fountain in the middle, with little flowerbeds and benches and stuff around it. The inner circle around the plaza is referred to as the inner village, and it consists entirely of shops, businesses, services, etc. The next ring is the first set of huts/homes, which are occupied by shopkeepers and ore traders. The third ring (the one that has some straggling houses off to the side) is for harvesters, which make up about 2/3 of the village's population. Grensfei harvests from twelve ore geysers, with one large one that provides the majority of their exports. The village also has one small sinder beil field on the border of the Windsong fields.
I know this map is kind of awkward but I'll try to clarify it a bit: the solid squiggly cloud-looking things are trees, the ones with dots in the middle are ore geysers, and the circles are huts. (Faeries tend to do everything in circles: houses, town structures, dances, etc.)
That's the general idea of the village! This was actually a lot of fun, and I'm probably going to keep doing place/character profiles and what not every now and then.
